**A brief description of each volunteer opportunity is listed below.
COFFEE HOUR: Host coffee/fellowship hour after Sunday worship. This involves making coffee and putting out healthy snacks. Also needed are healthy snack providers. Contact person is Sam Smith (email@example.com)
COMMUNION SETUP: Prepare the elements for communion on the first Sunday of the month. Contact person is Jan Assmus (firstname.lastname@example.org)
DISMAS HOUSE DINNER: Every month on the second Wednesday, volunteers cook dinner and eat with the Hartford Dismas House residents. Contact person is Gayle Aspinwall (email@example.com or 603-643-1551)
FLOWER DELIVERY: Deliver a small bouquet of flowers to a church member or friend in need of good cheer. Delivery can be made after worship on Sunday or the next day. Contact person is Megan Culp (firstname.lastname@example.org)
FLOWER DONATION: Grace our chancel area with cheerful flowers for Sunday worship and list in the bulletin who you are memorializing or whatever you would like to put! Contact person is Barbara Hall (email@example.com or 643-3668)
LISTEN COMMUNITY DINNER: Serve warm meals to neighbors in need. CCDC provides food and volunteers to cook, and serve dinner at the LISTEN Community Center in White River Junction, VT. Dinner prep begins at 4:00 pm and is finished by 6:00. Assist the lead chef in preparation of main meal and salad, setting out rolls, desserts and then serving the meal (cafeteria style). This event is finalized by a brief clean up. Salads (for 25 ppl) can be dropped off at LISTEN earlier in the day or arrangements can be made for them to be picked up at church. This program is a great venue for parent/child volunteering opportunity (children over 13 years of age). Contact person is Connie Loescher (firstname.lastname@example.org or 643-5892).
SCRIPTURE READER: Read scripture during worship on Sunday morning. Passages will be sent to you ahead of time (by Friday before) so you can familiarize yourself with the text. Contact person is Kendra Olson-Dow in the church office (643-3150 or email@example.com)
SOUND SYSTEM: Run the sound system during Sunday worship. Contact person is Bruce Riddle (Bruce Riddle firstname.lastname@example.org 802-295-1526).
USHER: Serve as an usher during Sunday worship. Includes handing out bulletins and greeting worshippers, collecting the offering, and straightening up the sanctuary after worship. Contact person is Jan Assmus (email@example.com)
